Are all rooms Studios?
Yes, all rooms have the same layout and they are 1 bedroom studios with a balcony.
Are they all the same?
Mostly, the rooms on the 4th and 5th floor are our premium rooms. They include 2 tv’s and have better views.
Is there a cleaning service?
Yes, there is a weekly cleaning service.
What about kitchen utensils?
All utensils, pots, pans and crockery are already in the room.
Will my US electronics and devices work without an adapter?
Yes the rooms are equipped with both 110V and 220V sockets so you shouldn’t need any adapters or transformers.
Am I allowed a pet?
Unfortunately not. While we like pets, we know there are some people with allergies and in rare cases, some pets can be noisy.
Is it safe?
We have made every effort to make Lazuli as safe as possible and have followed and exceeded SGU’s safety guidelines where possible.
This includes:
- a concrete wall around the property
- 24/7 security
- Key card access to the building and rooms
- Dual sensor and fire alarm system
- Fire proof doors
- Fire hose reels and extinguishers
- Hurricane proof glass
- Large water storage and reserve
- Backup Generator
Why aren’t new applications processed straight away?
When you rent an apartment at Lazuli, be safe in the knowledge that you have priority until the end of August/January to renew your lease. We wait until after this time frame to process new applications.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
A deposit of $2000 is required as the deposit to hold. This takes the apartment off the market and is non refundable until a lease is signed. Once the lease is signed, it becomes your security deposit and will be refunded once all bills are paid at the end of your lease.
When is the first and final month’s rent due?
The final month’s rent is due 30 days before the lease starts. First month is due the day the lease starts.
What’s included in the rent?
All utilities are included up to 400 Kwh of electricity.
Is there natural light?
Yes lots! The rooms have been carefully designed to allow maximum light in through very large glass doors while also minimizing any direct sunlight for energy efficiency. They also include blackout curtains for those not so keen on the light.
Will I hear my neighbors?
The rooms are made from solid concrete, then there is an air gap before the interior walls to keep the rooms insulated from sound and heat. This should minimize any noise from neighbors.
What about bed sheets and towels?
Bed sheets and towels aren't included in the room, however we have sets for sale should you wish to not fill your suitcase.
Laundry services?
There isn’t a laundry service but each room does have it’s own washer/dryer so you don’t have to worry about spending time at the laundromat.
